Structured reporting records
for SMR, TTR, and IFTI workflows

duely keeps a structured record for each suspicious matter report (SMR), threshold transaction report (TTR) and international funds transfer instruction (IFTI): the trigger, the deadline, the status and the AUSTRAC submission reference. Each record links back to the wider compliance file.

Reporting records

Illustrative

  • Threshold transaction (TTR) Cash of $10,000 or more Reference recorded
  • International transfer (IFTI) Linked to its engagement Draft
  • Cross-border movement (CBM) Currency or bearer negotiable instruments, $10,000 or more Due in 4 days
  • Suspicious matter (SMR) Handled in the AMLCO console AMLCO only
duely holds the record, the deadline and the reference. Your team lodges the report with AUSTRAC.

Why this matters

Reporting mistakes often come from poor process discipline: scattered notes, missing references, unclear trigger reasons, and no central record of what was filed.

duely records drafts, trigger details, status and submission references, and supports the preparation of suspicious matter cases, so every report is tied back to the engagement and the wider evidence trail.

What's included

01

TTR, IFTI, and CBM record creation

Create draft records for the three transaction-based AUSTRAC report types: threshold transactions, international funds transfer instructions, and cross-border movements (physical currency or bearer negotiable instruments (BNIs) of $10,000 or more crossing the border). Each record is linked to its engagement.

02

SMR 3.0 XML export

Generate suspicious matter reports as AUSTRAC SMR 3.0 XML, validated against the AUSTRAC schema before the file is produced. Lodgement with AUSTRAC is a separate step, and duely does not lodge reports for you.

03

TTR XML export

Export threshold transaction reports as AUSTRAC TTR XML, one at a time or in a batch, checked against the AUSTRAC schema. A report missing required data is blocked from export, with the reason shown so you can complete it.

04

Trigger reason and status tracking

Capture the trigger reason, detection method, and current status for each reporting record.

05

Submission reference storage

Record the AUSTRAC submission reference ID and timestamp against every report. The reference is entered manually after you lodge.

06

SMRs handled in the AMLCO Console

Suspicious matter reports are managed in the separate AMLCO Console, through the shadow case system.

07

Deadline tracking

Track reporting deadlines and milestones so each filing date is visible ahead of time.

08

Reports linked to the engagement

Every reporting record links back to its engagement, keeping the compliance file complete.

Regulatory basis

AUSTRAC reporting obligations

  • TTR: mandatory for cash transactions ≥ $10,000
  • IFTI: mandatory for institutions that send or receive international funds transfer instructions (financial institutions, remittance service providers and casinos, all Tranche 1 sectors). Most Tranche 2 professional firms never lodge an IFTI. duely includes a draft register so every AUSTRAC report type is covered
  • SMR: mandatory when suspicion of ML/TF arises
  • Reporting types configurable per firm based on designated services
