Delayed CDD for real estate buyers
Available now Under AML/CTF Rules 2025 s 6-32, initial CDD on the buyer or transferee can be completed after the engagement starts: as soon as reasonably practicable, and no later than 28 days after exchange of contracts or 3 days before the initially agreed settlement day, whichever is earliest. duely records the deferral and the reasoning, tracks the window from the exchange date, and alerts as the deadline approaches.
