Guided identity verification paths
with one clear evidence trail
duely supports electronic, documentary and manual verification. Each check records the method, source references, supporting documents and rationale against the customer.
Identity and screening results for a customer, with the date and the method used. Sample data. See the full walkthrough
Why this matters
Running a check is only part of verification. The firm also has to show which method it used, what evidence supported it, and how it handled the result for that customer.
duely combines customer and beneficial owner capture, secure document requests, a record of the verification method used, and an immutable audit log, so the record is clear when the engagement is reviewed later.
What your customer sees
The whole check runs on their own phone, from a link you send. These are the real screens.
1Open the link
Two parts, an ID check and a face check. About a minute.
2Choose a document
Pick the country, then the document they have to hand.
3Prepare the document
Upload a file, or take a photo of each side.
4Scan the ID
Guided capture, with a prompt to avoid screen captures.
5Get ready for the selfie
A short prompt before the camera opens.
6Take a selfie
A face check confirms it is really them.
7Verified
The result lands on the customer's record.
What's included
Document requests from the customer
Request documents such as certified copies or translations from the customer's profile. The customer is notified and reminded, and each upload lands against the customer automatically.
Consent requests
Request the customer's consent by email as part of verification. The signed consent is kept on their record, and the firm can add its own fields to the form.
DVS document checks
Optionally confirm an Australian ID document with the agency that issued it, through the Australian Government's Document Verification Service. $8 plus GST per document, run only when you choose.
Electronic, documentary, and manual paths
All three verification methods are supported, with guidance through each step.
Method-path recording
Every verification records the method used and the source reference IDs, for the audit trail.
Source reference capture
Store provider reference IDs and supporting evidence for each verification.
Beneficial owner and controller tracking
Identify the beneficial owners and controllers of companies, trusts and partnerships, with the supporting documents recorded.
Verification results kept on the customer record
Every check sits on the customer record and attaches to each engagement the customer joins, so the evidence trail stays in one place.
CSV import for your existing customer book
Move your existing customer list into duely with a single CSV upload. Names, entity details, contacts and existing baselines come across in one pass, so the firm can move off spreadsheets without re-keying every customer.
Verification under the AML/CTF Act
- Electronic: matching identifying details against reliable and independent data sources
- Method recorded for each check: electronic, documentary or manual
- Provider reference IDs must be retained
- Beneficial owners: 25% ownership threshold for companies
